Same Great Celebration, All New Look

Waste and Recycling Workers Week is committed to recognizing the hard-working men and women in the waste and recycling industry. Through everyday honors and annual events, we celebrate garbage men and women and the contributions they make to our communities.

Waste and Recycling Workers Week has a Fresh New Look!

The Waste and Recycling Workers Week website has been rebuilt from the ground up to better highlight our initiatives and honorees and make celebration resources easier to access. We have compiled resources for cities, states and municipalities on our City Resources page to make it easier for neighborhoods and communities to join the celebration.

Last year we asked for your feedback and votes on changing our name to better include all sanitation and recycling workers. After an outpouring of responses and requests from literally around the world, we have agreed to keep the original name Waste and Recycling Workers Week but have updated our logos and branding to better communicate the diverse make up of all waste and recycling workers.

Whether your town celebrates or not, you can still participate. The smallest gestures and simplest “Thank you’s” go a long way. Check out our Celebration Resources for inspiration and invite your neighbors and friends to join you.

We have made sharing your Garbage Man pride easier than ever. Our FREE designs are easy to download and free to use. These Waste and Recycling Workers Week graphics can be used on shirts, flyers, announcements and other promotional materials or giveaway items. What are you waiting for? Download the new Waste and Recycling Workers Week logo and get your celebration started today!

Year-Round Work Deserves Year-Round Recognition

Waste and Recycling Workers Week is so much bigger than a single week of appreciation. This is why we are committed to highlighting our everyday honors and initiatives. Check out our honorees on the Wall of Honor, Change Makers, In Loving Memory and Career Recognition pages.

Let us know when good things happen by submitting accomplishments and honors on the Career Recognition page.
