In Loving Memory of Marcus Colbert of Department of Public Works, City of Laurel

Marcus Colbert

Company: Department of Public Works, City of Laurel

Years of Service: 11

Comments: Marcus Colbert, 30, of Laurel passed away while working his route. Working for the Department of Public Works is a family affair for him and his family. He started working for the company in 2005 following in his father, Ralph Brent’s footsteps and his cousin, Norman hull as well. Colbert, according to his coworkers and family, “will be remembered for his infectious smile, his willingness to help everyone, and his strong work ethic—helping other crews finish their routes without being asked.” A devoted worker and energetic man that will surely be missed.

We will not forget you, Marcus Colbert.

Together, let’s honor the memory of the men and women who have served by our side. Whether on the garbage trucks, delivering portable sanitation units, or working in the offices and repair shops, the employees of our industry serve important roles and are very special people. As we remember this fallen hero of the waste industry, we join with their family and co-workers to honor their service.
