A garbage collector in St Georges Basin has put smiles on some little faces

GIFT: Brett, 6, William, five-months-old and Alaska, 5, with their new toy delivered by their favourite garbage collector.

A garbage collector in St Georges Basin has put smiles on some little faces.

Mother of five, Koby Argall, said her four-year-old daughter Alaska and six-year-old son Brett are big fans of the garbage truck.

Every Friday they wave their arms and yell with excitement as their rubbish is collected.

Last Friday, they received an even bigger surprise.

“My cousin and Brett went out and the bin was wheeled back up the driveway and a toy garbage truck was on top of the bin,” Koby said.

The gift from the garbage collector has been a big hit with the kids.

The garbage truck delivered by an unknown garbage collector has proved to be very popular in the Argall household.

“Alaska is already playing with the truck and Brett was just so excited, it works just like a mini garbage truck,” Koby said.

Koby is hoping to track down the garbage collector to thank him for his gift.

“It was just so beautiful. There’s so much hate and nasty things in the world it’s so nice to be able to share these things when they happen,” she said.

Koby described the man as a “skinny, wiry dude” but said even if they can’t find him, they’ll make sure they thank him on his regular route this Friday.

“The kids will be waiting for him with a six pack and a card,” she said.

“He made their day.”
