Full Circle Project – Waste Industries

Charity and Donations Made Easy Through Waste Industries

The Full Circle Project is a way for us at Waste Industries to change the way we handle our charitable giving efforts. We have always believed that giving back to the communities we service is essential to building a better place for everyone to live. Since our founding, charitable giving has been at the core of our giving back mission. We picked charities that we thought would benefit the communities we serviced best, and we distributed accordingly.

Charity and Nonprofit Donations

Thanks to the open nature of the internet, though, we realized that there was an even better way to do this. With our mission being to improve the lives of our customers well beyond just picking up their waste, it became clear that it’s our customers who should be making the decision on how we distribute our funds.

And with that simple revelation, the Full Circle Project was born.

Full Circle Project 101

The Full Circle Project was designed to be as simple as possible for you, our customer. The objective was to provide an avenue in which we could redefine the way we handle our charitable contributions here at Waste Industries, but to do it in a way that puts you in control.

The entire program is completely free, and in fact, by signing up for the Full Circle Project (you must be an e-billing customer), you actually save money every month by no longer having a paper bill fee! The funds we are contributing are already part of our corporate giving, something we proudly do every year, returning funds to the community to boost various charities and organizations that we believe help strengthen the communities we service. The only difference is that instead of Waste Industries making the decision of which charities get how much of our annual giving, we are letting you make that decision for us!

The charities have been broken up into nine categories for your convenience. They include Environmental Preservation, Medical Research, Mental Health, Animal Rescue, Homeless Assistance, Cancer Research & Assistance, Children’s Hospitals, Wounded Soldiers, and Education & Scholarships. Each customer gets to pick one charity class that best represents how they want to direct Waste Industries’ funding.

At the end of the year, Waste Industries will take the percentage breakdowns and allocate funding to various charities within that charity class at the voted percentage provided by you. So, if Animal Rescue ends up with a 30% vote, we will take 30% of the funds allocated for donations and direct them to charities within the Animal Rescue class.

At the end of the year, we’ll post how the donations were allocated, which charities received donations, and the final percentages that were voted through for each charity class.

All you have to do to participate is sign up for the Full Circle Project, but if you have a charity you’d like us to consider donating to as well, please visit the Charity Suggestion page here and fill out the form to have your charity considered at the end of the calendar year.

To make it as easy as possible for our customers to contribute, we set only one rule for entry; all you need to do in order to participate is to be enrolled in e-billing. From there, we broke down our charitable giving efforts into nine fundamental categories that would allow customers to support a group of charities that mean the most to them.
